101220-N-7981E-001 PACIFIC OCEAN (Dec. 20, 2010)- A view from the signal bridge of USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) as the ship is underway in the Pacific Ocean with Carrier Air Wing 17 aircraft on the flight deck. Carl Vinson and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17 are currently on a three-week composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) followed by a deployment to the 7th and 5th Fleet areas of responsibility.
