Strawberry Poison Dart Frog (dendrobates pumilio) -- Like other poison dart frogs, this species advertises its danger to predators with bright colors. Its toxins are derived from its diet of ants and are lost when reared in captivity on a diet of fruit flies The female of this species carries her tadpoles on her back to water-filled bromeliads to develop.
