080522-N-7981E-047 ARABIAN GULF (May 22, 2008)- Boatswain's Mate Seaman Devone Berry and other Sailors from Deck Department stand by as Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) prepares to go alongside fast combat support ship USNS Rainer (T-AOE 7) for an underway replenishment. Lincoln is deployed to the U.S. Navy 5th Fleet area of responsibility to support Maritime Security Operations (MSO). MSO help develop security in the maritime environment, which promotes stability and global prosperity. These operations complement the counterterrorism and security efforts of regional nations and seek to disrupt violent extremists' use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons or other material.
