Arise at the Farm student Jeremiah Werden does his best Bond impression as he prepares to hit the dance floor at the ARISE at the Farm fifth annual Costume Barn Dance in Chittenango, N.Y. Werden dressed as James Bond for party, which also included a costume contest, pumpkin carving, and hayrides. According to ARISE integrated recreation program manager Jennifer Schulz, the barn dance is a chance for people who may not have otherwise enjoyed fall festivities to get out and socialize in a safe, accepting, and accessible environment. ARISE is a New York based, non-profit independent living center and advocacy program that promotes the full inclusion of people with disabilities in the community. ARISE at the Farm is a 76-acre working horse farm where people of all abilities can learn and participate in farming and recreational activities. Photo by James R. Evans ©
