Southern Pacific Rattlesnake- Crotalus Helleri - The most dangerous snake in Southern California. They are numerous, agressive, and pack a particularly nasty venom cocktail. Babies like this one make no sound when they rattle and like to hang out in places I frequent. This one was under a rock I almost flipped. Glad I looked first.
