130423-N-DR144-866 Pacific Ocean (April 23, 2013)- Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) Airman Katie Glendy, assigned to Amphibious Transport Dock Ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), directs the launch of an MV-22 Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 161 on the flight deck of the Amphibious Transport Dock Ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23). Air Department Sailors from San Diego are aboard Anchorage earning qualifications and maintaining proficiency while the ship is underway.
