060708-N-7981E-077 Pacific Ocean (July 8, 2006)- Gunners's Mate Seaman Bryan Bossman, right, and Gunner's Mate Third Class Dustin Waggener await orders to fire their .50 Caliber gun mount on a floating practice target during a live-fire exercise on the fantail of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). Lincoln and Combat Carrier Strike Group 9 are currently underway in the Hawaiian Operations Area to participate in the month-long Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise. RIMPAC includes ships and personnel from the United States, Australia, Canada, Chile, Japan, Peru, the Republic of Korea, and the United Kingdom.
