Birders gather at the Anchorage Audubon Society's annual Gunsight Mountain Hawkwatch on the Glenn Highway near Eureka, Alaska. On warm spring days hundreds of hawks may pass over the area, riding updrafts to higher altitude as they migrate through a bottleneck in the Talkeetna Mountains.
