2010: Finishing up my year of course work at Syracuse University before embarking on another epic road trip with bad camera gear, this time to San Diego. There I went to work for Navy Public Affairs Support Element (NPASE) West and set sail on another aircraft carrier, USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70). Disabilities advocacy was a big focus in my work this year, beginning with my story on disabilities healthcare advocate Kara Vander Veer.
