About James R. Evans Photography
I am an Alaskan who learned to fish, hunt, and take photos at a very early age. In 2005 I joined the Navy to be a photographer and spent eight years floating around the world doing my best as one of the "eyes of the fleet." I have since returned to Alaska, finished a degree in journalism, and pursued photography and communications work in support of research and higher education in the Far North. I am currently the staff photographer for University of Alaska Anchorage.
